• Question: Do you inherit oily skin or is it something you can develop from diet etc?

      Both. I have an oily T-zone, like my mum and sister, but diet, how you treat your skin and other environmental factors can cause your skin to be more oily. The best way to deal with it is eating healthy foods and keeping your skin clean, using gentle cleansers or just warm water.

      Diet and genetics have a role to play so it is best to avoid oily foods. Everyone has their own sebaceous (the oil glands in the skin) level and hence genes have a significant role to olay
