• Question: Is cracking your knuckles bad for you?

      Anything done to excess can be bad for you. Therefore a bit of cracking is ok as it releases gas that builds up in the knuckles

      If long term and prolonged it probably is as they are likely to inflame at some point in the future.

      There is no evidence to suggest that it is bad for you but it may annoy your neighbours beside you in class!! So be careful and respectful of all around you.

      It’s not bad for your knuckles, because the cracking is just popping bubbles of gas that build up in the spaces between your bones. It is annoying as hell though, and since my brother loves to do it to wind me up, it can be bad for his health.
