Anything in excess is bad for you, and tea is no exception. There are chemicals in tea that are bad for you, but also ones that are good for you. I don’t think you need to worry unless you drink gallons of the stuff though! As an adolescent you should keep the amount of caffeine you consume low though, since it is a chemical that affects the brain and yours is finishing off developing (not to mention while the rest of your body is going through puberty) it is important to reduce the amount of potentially harmful compounds going into your body.

It’s only bad for you if you drink too much. There are some teas which can be potentially beneficial to your health, such as peppermint tea which can help with your digestive syetm.

Àgain, similar to coffee the caffeine levels in tea cause dehydration and are a potential source of illness if consumed in excess in the long term.
